New home going up in Old Mystic...

In Masons Island, a new home is being born after demolition of the old house. Significant blasting is needed to clear the area of ledge. The rubble will be given to a neighbor for a much-needed sea wall with 26 truckloads being diverted to a dumping site as well! But the foundation will be in very soon, making way to start a new post and beam by next month -- just in time for Christmas celebration!

All blasting debri has been removed. The foundation is in and now being back filled...

Here are some owner pics of a home we built last year: a 2200 sq ft water front hybrid Douglas Fir timber frame cape on Beach Pond in Voluntown, CT

July 2007:
We are doing a rebuild on the little connector between the house and the new barn we are building. One of the shots is looking up through the cupola. It has a pickeled pine frame cedar siding, radiant heat colored cement floor for gardening room and hard wood for sitting room. The section we are remodeling is going to have a full glass wall west view to expose the new timber frame we installed inside.
