The Griswold has a vast open floor plan with more of a contemporary flare.
A foyer entrance opens into the great room, where the fireplace has exposed chimney from floor to cathedral ceiling, and massive windows.

The second floor has a laundry room, each bedroom has its own bath, and the master bedroom has a step up bath and a balcony to look down over the great room.

Although the main house is traditional post & beam, the garage is constructed using structural panels (known in our trade as "SIP").  Timber trusses are included on the second floor.  Techniques like this can be worked into SIP construction (modular) and conventional stick frame homes.  The result can provide cathedraled/vaulted ceilings with a "Post & Beam feel".
